Texas High School Basketball - Cathedral can't hold off Plainview
December 29, 2023: Plainview, TX 79072 The Plainview Bulldogs basketball team scored 42 points and held the visiting Cathedral Fighting Irish to 41 in the Bulldogs non-league triumph on Friday.
The Bulldogs now sport a 11-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Midland Classical Academy for a non-league contest on Saturday, December 30. Plainview will battle a Knights team coming off a 65-51 non-league loss to Lake View (San Angelo, TX). The Knights record now stands at 1-13.
The Fighting Irish (9-10) will now prepare for their contest against Monahans (Monahans, TX). The Loboes enter the non-league contest with a 8-7 record. In their last contest, Monahans nudged Eastlake (El Paso, TX), 55-53, in a non-league contest.
