Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the The Woodlands Highlanders (The Woodlands, TX) and the visiting Cedar Ridge Raiders (Round Rock, TX), saw The Woodlands's basketball squad hold off Cedar Ridge by a tally of 41-37.

With the victory, The Woodlands improves its record to 10-8 on the campaign. The Highlanders travel to Willis (Willis, TX) to confront the Wildkats in a 6A Region II District 13 challenge on Tuesday, January 2. The Wildkats come into the challenge with a record of 13-8. Willis won 80-26 in their recent non-league challenge against Milby (Houston, TX)

Next up, the Raiders confront the Anderson Trojans (Austin, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 29. Cedar Ridge will attempt to improve on its 11-8 season record. The Trojans come into the challenge with a 4-17 record after their 61-48 non-league loss to Langham Creek (Houston, TX).
