Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Mohawk Area can't hold off Central Valley
December 29, 2023: Monaca, PA 15061 The Central Valley Warriors basketball team scored 52 points and restricted the visiting Mohawk Area Warriors to 50 in the Warriors non-league victory on Friday.
The Warriors now sport a 5-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Beaver for a WPIAL 4A 2 contest on Tuesday, January 2. Central Valley will battle a Bobcats team coming off a 54-36 non-league win over Fairview (Fairview, PA). The Bobcats record now stands at 5-5.
The Warriors (3-6) will now prepare for their contest against Ellwood City (Ellwood City, PA). The Wolverine come into the WPIAL 3A 1 contest with a 5-5 record. In their last contest, Ellwood City edged Maplewood (Guys Mills, PA), 62-22, in a non-league contest.
