December 29, 2023: Elkton, VA 22827 The Central Wise Warriors basketball team (Norton, VA), was overwhelmed 59-34 in Friday's non-league battle with the host East Rockingham Eagles (Elkton, VA)
The Eagles now possess a 5-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Turner Ashby for a Valley battle on Tuesday, January 2. East Rockingham will confront a Knights team coming off a 70-64 non-league loss to Clarke County (Berryville, VA). The Knights record now stands at 5-6.
The Warriors (3-7) will now prepare for their battle against Lee (Jonesville, VA). The Generals come into the Mountain battle with a 2-7 record. In their last battle, Lee was overwhelmed by Chilhowie (Chilhowie, VA), 66-59, in a non-league battle.
