Virginia High School Basketball - East Rockingham overwhelms Central Woodstock
December 29, 2023: Elkton, VA 22827 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the East Rockingham Eagles (Elkton, VA) and the visiting Central Woodstock Falcons (Woodstock, VA), saw East Rockingham's basketball squad wallop Central Woodstock by a tally of 59-34.
With the victory, East Rockingham improves its record to 6-5 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Turner Ashby (Bridgewater, VA) to confront the Knights in a Valley challenge on Tuesday, January 2. The Knights come into the challenge with a record of 5-6. Turner Ashby lost 70-64 in their recent non-league challenge against Clarke County (Berryville, VA)
Next up, the Falcons confront the Page County Panthers (Shenandoah, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, December 30. Central Woodstock will attempt to improve on its 2-5 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 1-9 record after their 50-46 non-league loss to Sherando (Stephens City, VA).
