In Friday's non-league match, the host Sandy Creek Cougars basketball team scored a good 50-37 triumph over the Centura Centurions.

In their next game, the Cougars meet the Fort Calhoun Pioneers (Fort Calhoun, NE) in a non-league match, on Saturday, December 30. Sandy Creek will attempt to move on its 7-1 season record. The Pioneers enter the match with a 5-2 record after their 54-40 non-league win over Howells-Dodge (Howells, NE).

With the defeat, Centura moves to 0-8 on the year. The Centurions travel to Howells-Dodge (Howells, NE) to meet the Jaguars in a non-league match on Saturday, December 30.
