Louisiana High School Basketball - Fontainebleau nips Chalmette
December 29, 2023: Mandeville, LA 70471 Fontainebleau Bulldogs (Mandeville, LA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Chalmette Owls (Chalmette, LA), 63-60 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Fontainebleau upgrades its record to 8-8 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to St. Paul's (Covington, LA) to play the Wolves in a 5A District 6 bout on Tuesday, January 2. The Wolves go into the bout with a record of 13-6. St. Paul's won 55-39 in their recent non-league bout against St. Louis Catholic (Lake Charles, LA)
Next up, the Owls play the Tara Trojans (Baton Rouge, LA) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, January 3. Chalmette will attempt to upgrade on its 3-16 season record. The Trojans go into the bout with a 5-12 record after their 37-29 non-league loss to Glen Oaks (Baton Rouge, LA).
