Georgia High School Basketball - Cherokee Bluff tops Gainesville
December 29, 2023: Gainesville, GA 30501 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Cherokee Bluff Bears (Flowery Branch, GA) and the host Gainesville Red Elephants (Gainesville, GA), saw Cherokee Bluff's basketball squad knock off Gainesville by a tally of 62-52.
With the victory, Cherokee Bluff improves its record to 10-4 on the campaign. The Bears travel to North Hall (Gainesville, GA) to play the Trojans in a AAAA Region 8 challenge on Tuesday, January 2. The Trojans come into the challenge with a record of 6-9. North Hall won 86-80 in their recent non-league challenge against Flowery Branch (Flowery Branch, GA)
Next up, the Red Elephants play the Habersham Central Raiders (Mt. Airy, GA) in a AAAAAA Region 8 challenge, on Saturday, January 6. Gainesville will attempt to improve on its 2-10 season record.
