Alabama High School Basketball - East Lawrence holds off Cherokee County
December 29, 2023: Centre, AL 35960 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the East Lawrence Eagles (Trinity, AL) and the host Cherokee County Warriors (Centre, AL), saw East Lawrence's basketball squad hold off Cherokee County by a tally of 48-47.
With the victory, East Lawrence improves its record to 10-6 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Addison (Addison, AL) to confront the Bulldogs in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 2. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a record of 10-2. Addison won 49-39 in their recent non-league challenge against Vinemont (Vinemont, AL)
Next up, the Warriors confront the Alexandria Valley Cubs (Alexandria, AL) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 2. Cherokee County will attempt to improve on its 0-7 season record. The Valley Cubs come into the challenge with a 9-5 record after their 64-53 non-league loss to Springville (Springville, AL).
