California High School Basketball - South Fork tops Chester
December 29, 2023: Chester, CA 96020 South Fork Cubs (Miranda, CA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Chester Volcanoes (Chester, CA), 60-44 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, South Fork upgrades its record to 12-3 on the campaign. The Cubs host St. Bernard's (Eureka, CA) to play the Crusaders in a Humboldt-Del Norte - Little 4 bout on Thursday, January 4. The Crusaders come into the bout with a record of 9-3. St. Bernard's won 46-40 in their recent non-league bout against Las Plumas (Oroville, CA)
Next up, the Volcanoes play the Portola Tigers (Portola, CA) in a Five Star bout, on Tuesday, January 9. Chester will attempt to upgrade on its 8-2 season record. The Tigers come into the bout with a 9-7 record after their 58-48 non-league loss to Oroville (Oroville, CA).
