December 29, 2023: Chico, TX 76431 In Friday's non-league outing, the De Leon Bearcats (De Leon, TX) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Chico Dragons (Chico, TX), by a margin of 66-22.
The Bearcats (8-10) will now prepare for their outing against Klondike (Lamesa, TX). The Cougars go into the non-league outing with a 0-8 record.
The Dragons now own a 2-12 record. They play next when they host Era for a 2A Region II District 13 outing on Tuesday, January 2. Chico will clash with a Hornets squad coming off a 42-38 non-league loss to Sanger (Sanger, TX). The Hornets record now stands at 4-5.
