Texas High School Basketball - Manvel nudges Clear Creek
December 29, 2023: Manvel, TX 77578 Manvel Mavericks (Manvel, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Clear Creek Wildcats (League City, TX), 61-60 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Manvel upgrades its record to 8-14 on the season. The Mavericks travel to La Porte (La Porte, TX) to clash with the Bulldogs in a 5A Region III District 18 bout on Friday, January 5. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 16-8.
Next up, the Wildcats clash with the Clear Brook Wolverines (Friendswood, TX) in a 6A Region III District 24 bout, on Wednesday, January 3. Clear Creek will attempt to upgrade on its 15-8 season record. The Wolverines go into the bout with a 8-14 record after their 56-52 non-league loss to Alief Elsik (Houston, TX).
