In Friday's non-league outing, the Hatton Hornets (Town Creek, AL) basketball squad nipped the host Covington Chargers (Covington, TN), by a margin of 65-58.

The Hornets (8-7) will now prepare for their outing against Tharptown (Russellville, AL). The Wildcats go into the 2A Area 16 outing with a 7-3 record.
