The Pana Panthers basketball team scored 51 points and held the visiting Cumberland Pirates to 28 in the Panthers non-league triumph on Friday.

The Panthers now sport a 3-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Mattoon for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 2. Pana will meet a Greenwave team coming off a 53-40 non-league loss to Newton (Newton, IL). The Greenwave record now stands at 6-8.

The Pirates (5-12) will now prepare for their contest against Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland] (Kansas, IL). The Titans enter the Lincoln Prairie contest with a 2-11 record.
