Arizona High School Basketball - Willow Canyon trounces Desert Edge

The Willow Canyon Wildcats (Surprise, AZ) basketball crushed the host Desert Edge Scorpions (Goodyear, AZ), 84-56 in Friday's non-league test.

The Wildcats (15-1) will now prepare for their test against Ironwood (Glendale, AZ). The Eagles go into the 5A Northwest test with a 13-2 record. In their last test, Ironwood walloped Auburn (Auburn, WA), 72-42, in a non-league test.

The Scorpions now own a 9-7 record. They play next when they travel to Westview for a 5A Desert West test on Tuesday, January 9. Desert Edge will encounter a Knights squad coming off a 70-59 non-league win over Glendale (Glendale, AZ). The Knights record now stands at 9-5.
