Washington High School Basketball - Shelton nips Elma
December 29, 2023: Shelton, WA 98584 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Shelton Highclimbers (Shelton, WA) and the visiting Elma Eagles (Elma, WA), saw Shelton's basketball squad hold off Elma by a tally of 45-41.
With the victory, Shelton improves its record to 4-6 on the campaign. The Highclimbers travel to Centralia (Centralia, WA) to play the Tigers in a 2A Evergreen challenge on Tuesday, January 2. The Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 2-6. Centralia won 52-44 in their recent non-league challenge against Overlake (Redmond, WA)
Next up, the Eagles play the Hoquiam Grizzlies (Hoquiam, WA) in a 1A Evergreen battle, on Tuesday, January 2. Elma will attempt to improve on its 6-4 season record. The Grizzlies come into the battle with a 6-3 record after their 68-41 non-league win over Raymond (Raymond, WA).
