Virginia High School Basketball - Langley thwarts Godwin
December 29, 2023: Richmond, VA 23233 The Langley Saxons (McLean, VA) basketball knocked off the host Godwin Eagles (Richmond, VA), 60-51 in Friday's non-league test.
The Saxons (5-6) will now prepare for their test against George C. Marshall (Falls Church, VA). The Statesmen go into the District 2 test with a 10-2 record. In their last test, George C. Marshall went down by Willow Spring (Fuquay-Varina, NC), 52-46, in a non-league test.
The Eagles now own a 8-4 record. They play next when they host Hermitage for a Colonial test on Tuesday, January 9. Godwin will encounter a Panthers squad coming off a 67-51 non-league loss to St. Christopher's (Richmond, VA). The Panthers record now stands at 8-2.
