Minnesota High School Basketball - Rockford knocked off by Hawley
December 29, 2023: Hawley, MN 56549 The Hawley Nuggets basketball team scored 53 points and held the visiting Rockford Rockets to 44 in the Nuggets non-league triumph on Friday.
The Nuggets now sport a 3-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Thief River Falls for a AA Section 8 contest on Tuesday, January 2. Hawley will battle a Prowlers team coming off a 59-46 league loss to Warroad (Warroad, MN). The Prowlers record now stands at 2-6.
The Rockets (6-3) will now prepare for their contest against Nevis (Nevis, MN). The Tigers enter the non-league contest with a 4-0 record. In their last contest, Nevis ran past Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa (Belgrade, MN), 82-62, in a non-league contest.
