December 29, 2023: Frankfort, IL 60423 Lincoln-Way East Griffins (Frankfort, IL) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Highland Bulldogs (Highland, IL), 50-41 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Lincoln-Way East upgrades its record to 8-4 on the season. The Griffins travel to Dixon (Dixon, IL) to clash with the Dukes & Duchesses in a non-league bout on Friday, December 29. The Dukes & Duchesses go into the bout with a record of 13-1. Dixon won 49-42 in their recent non-league challenge against Charleston (Charleston, IL)
Next up, the Bulldogs play the Teutopolis Wooden Shoes (Teutopolis, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 29. Highland will attempt to improve on its 8-7 season record. The Wooden Shoes come into the challenge with a 7-3 record after their 47-33 non-league loss to Mt. Vernon (Mt. Vernon, IL).
