Ohio High School Basketball - Lutheran East tops Hiland
December 29, 2023: Berlin, OH 44310 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Lutheran East Falcons (Cleveland Heights, OH) and the host Hiland Hawks (Berlin, OH), saw Lutheran East's basketball squad knock off Hiland by a tally of 52-42.
With the victory, Lutheran East improves its record to 8-0 on the campaign. The Falcons travel to St. Xavier (Cincinnati, OH) to play the Bombers in a non-league challenge on Saturday, December 30. The Bombers come into the challenge with a record of 4-2. St. Xavier won 73-58 in their recent non-league challenge against Fairfield (Fairfield, OH)
Next up, the Hawks play the Indian Valley Braves (Gnadenhutten, OH) in a Inter-Valley challenge, on Friday, January 5. Hiland will attempt to improve on its 6-2 season record. The Braves come into the challenge with a 8-1 record after their 60-57 league win over Tuscarawas Valley (Zoarville, OH).
