Hillcrest Panthers (Dallas, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Monterey Plainsmen (Lubbock, TX), 41-39 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Hillcrest upgrades its record to 7-9 on the season. The Panthers travel to Lubbock-Cooper (Lubbock, TX) to clash with the Pirates in a non-league bout on Friday, December 29. The Pirates go into the bout with a record of 10-6. Lubbock-Cooper won 75-46 in their recent league bout against Lubbock (Lubbock, TX)
