In Friday's non-league outing, the Independence (Ashburn, VA) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Unity Reed Lions (Manassas, VA), by a count of 83-36.

The (4-3) will now prepare for their outing against Woodgrove (Purcellville, VA). The Wolverines come into the non-league challenge with a 6-2 record. In their last challenge, Woodgrove was crushed by Flint Hill (Oakton, VA), 81-79, in a league challenge.
