Texas High School Basketball - Wylie edges Jarrell
December 29, 2023: Abilene, TX 79606 The Wylie Bulldogs (Abilene, TX) basketball nipped the visiting Jarrell Cougars (Jarrell, TX), 47-43 in Friday's non-league test.
The Bulldogs (10-11) will now prepare for their test against Monterey (Lubbock, TX). The Plainsmen go into the 5A Region I District 4 test with a 8-14 record. In their last test, Monterey was nipped by Grapevine (Grapevine, TX), 61-52, in a non-league game.
With the defeat, Jarrell moves to 10-10 on the year. The Cougars travel to Llano (Llano, TX) to face the Yellowjackets in a non-league game on Tuesday, January 2. The Yellowjackets enter the game with a record of 14-6. Llano won 59-47 in their recent non-league game against Dublin (Dublin, TX)
