Minnesota High School Basketball - Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial knocked off by New Ulm
December 29, 2023: New Ulm, MN 56073 The New Ulm Eagles basketball team scored 87 points and held the visiting Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial Knights to 67 in the Eagles non-league triumph on Friday.
The Eagles now sport a 6-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Blackduck for a non-league contest on Thursday, January 4. New Ulm will meet a Drakes team coming off a 73-63 non-league loss to Hill City (Hill City, MN). The Drakes record now stands at 0-6.
The Knights (7-2) will now prepare for their contest against St. Clair (St. Clair, MN). The Cyclones enter the AA Section 2 contest with a 6-4 record. In their last contest, St. Clair ran past Loyola/Kato (Mankato, MN), 64-46, in a non-league contest.
