Illinois High School Basketball - Lena-Winslow fells Orion
December 29, 2023: Orion, IL 61273 Lena-Winslow Panthers (Lena, IL) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Orion Chargers (Orion, IL), 56-44 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Lena-Winslow upgrades its record to 9-4 on the season. The Panthers travel to Stark County (Toulon, IL) to play the Rebels in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 30. The Rebels go into the bout with a record of 6-6. Stark County lost 62-55 in their recent non-league bout against Kewanee (Kewanee, IL)
Next up, the Chargers play the Newman Central Catholic Comets (Sterling, IL) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 30. Orion will attempt to upgrade on its 8-5 season record. The Comets go into the bout with a 9-7 record after their 65-53 non-league win over Erie-Prophetstown (Erie, IL).
