Tennessee High School Basketball - Oakland knocked off by Loretto
December 29, 2023: Murfreesboro, TN 37130 The Loretto Mustangs basketball team scored 51 points and held the host Oakland Patriots to 39 in the Mustangs non-league triumph on Friday.
The Mustangs now sport a 9-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Wayne County for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 2. Loretto will battle a Wildcats team coming off a 63-54 non-league loss to Cornerstone Christian (San Antonio, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 11-4.
The Patriots (4-10) will now prepare for their contest against Beech (Hendersonville, TN). The Buccaneers enter the non-league contest with a 8-2 record. In their last contest, Beech ran past Clarksville (Clarksville, TN), 72-41, in a non-league contest.
