The Walled Lake Central Vikings basketball team scored 74 points and held the host Mumford Mustangs to 31 in the Vikings non-league triumph on Friday.

The Vikings now sport a 8-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Milford for a Lakes Valley contest on Friday, January 5. Walled Lake Central will meet a Mavericks team coming off a 64-55 non-league loss to Fenton (Fenton, MI). The Mavericks record now stands at 6-3.

The Mustangs (1-7) will now prepare for their contest against Southeastern (Detroit, MI). The Jungaleers enter the Detroit Public I contest with a 5-2 record.
