Oregon High School Basketball - South Salem can't hold off Nelson
December 29, 2023: Happy Valley, OR 97015 The Nelson basketball team scored 67 points and restricted the visiting South Salem Saxons to 60 in the non-league victory on Friday.
The now sport a 6-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lake Oswego for a non-league bout on Friday, January 5. Nelson will clash with a Lakers squad coming off a 72-48 non-league loss to West Linn (West Linn, OR). The Lakers record now stands at 2-10.
Next up, the Saxons clash with the Century Jaguars (Hillsboro, OR) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 2. South Salem will attempt to upgrade on its 4-6 season record. The Jaguars go into the bout with a 8-4 record after their 66-57 non-league loss to South Eugene (Eugene, OR).
