Alabama High School Basketball - Pontotoc fells Pleasant Grove
December 29, 2023: Pleasant Grove, AL 35127 Pontotoc Warriors (Pontotoc, MS) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Pleasant Grove Spartans (Pleasant Grove, AL), 70-62 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Pontotoc upgrades its record to 10-9 on the season. The Warriors travel to West Point (West Point, MS) to play the Green Wave in a 5A Region 1 bout on Friday, January 5. The Green Wave go into the bout with a record of 8-5. West Point lost 53-52 in their recent non-league bout against Noxubee County (Macon, MS)
Next up, the Spartans play the Wenonah Dragons (Birmingham, AL) in a 5A Area 9 bout, on Wednesday, January 3. Pleasant Grove will attempt to upgrade on its 4-8 season record.
