Texas High School Basketball - Rockport-Fulton can't hold off Poth
December 29, 2023: Rockport, TX 78381 The Poth Pirates basketball team scored 43 points and held the host Rockport-Fulton Pirates to 37 in the Pirates non-league triumph on Friday.
The Pirates now sport a 9-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hays for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 2. Poth will battle a Hawks team coming off a 60-52 non-league win over Lake Belton (Temple, TX). The Hawks record now stands at 10-11.
The Pirates (14-9) will now prepare for their contest against West Oso (Corpus Christi, TX). The Bears enter the 4A Region IV District 30 contest with a 9-9 record. In their last contest, West Oso was nudged by Flour Bluff (Corpus Christi, TX), 59-28, in a non-league contest.
