New York High School Basketball - Tupper Lake can't hold off Potsdam

The Potsdam Sandstoners basketball team scored 55 points and restricted the visiting Tupper Lake Lumberjacks to 49 in the Sandstoners non-league victory on Friday.

The Sandstoners now sport a 6-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Norwood-Norfolk for a Section 10 Central contest on Friday, January 5. Potsdam will battle a Flyers team coming off a 83-19 league loss to Gouverneur (Gouverneur, NY). The Flyers record now stands at 0-4.

The Lumberjacks (6-2) will now prepare for their contest against Madrid-Waddington (Madrid, NY). The Yellowjackets come into the Section 10 East contest with a 1-2 record. In their last contest, Madrid-Waddington was nudged by Colton-Pierrepont (Colton, NY), 48-37, in a league contest.
