The Sands Mustangs basketball team scored 43 points and held the visiting Winters Blizzards to 31 in the Mustangs non-league triumph on Friday.

The Mustangs now sport a 11-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Meadow for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 2.

The Blizzards (9-8) will now prepare for their contest against Robert Lee (Robert Lee, TX). The Steers enter the non-league contest with a 14-4 record. In their last contest, Robert Lee ran past Grape Creek (San Angelo, TX), 70-62, in a non-league contest.
