The Schalmont Sabres (Schenectady, NY) basketball prevailed the host Vernon-Verona-Sherrill Red Devils (Verona, NY), 62-53 in Friday's non-league bout.

With the win, Schalmont upgrades its record to 5-5 on the season. The Sabres travel to Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk (Ravena, NY) to clash with the Indians in a Section 2 Colonial - Patriot bout on Friday, January 5. The Indians go into the bout with a record of 2-5. Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk lost 53-31 in their recent non-league bout against Hudson (Hudson, NY)

Next up, the Red Devils clash with the Indian River Warriors (Philadelphia, NY) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 30.
