New Jersey High School Basketball - St. Mary crushes Wayne Hills
December 29, 2023: Rutherford, NJ 07070 St. Mary Gaels (Rutherford, NJ) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Wayne Hills Patriots (Wayne, NJ), 58-34 in a non-league test.
The Gaels (6-0) will now prepare for their test against Wood-Ridge (Wood-Ridge, NJ). The Blue Devils go into the non-league test with a 1-6 record. In their last test, Wood-Ridge was trounced by Rutherford (Rutherford, NJ), 61-31, in a non-league test.
The Patriots now own a 6-1 record. They play next when they travel to West Milford for a Big North - Independence test on Tuesday, January 2. Wayne Hills will encounter a Highlanders squad coming off a 58-56 non-league loss to Jefferson Township (Oak Ridge, NJ). The Highlanders record now stands at 1-7.
