Arkansas High School Basketball - West Memphis holds off The New School
December 29, 2023: Fayetteville, AR 72703 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the West Memphis Blue Devils (West Memphis, AR) and the host The New School Cougars (Fayetteville, AR), saw West Memphis's basketball squad hold off The New School by a tally of 55-48.
With the victory, West Memphis improves its record to 7-9 on the campaign. The Blue Devils travel to Highland (Hardy, AR) to confront the Rebels in a non-league challenge on Friday, December 29. The Rebels come into the challenge with a record of 6-7.
Next up, the Cougars confront the Mulberry Yellowjackets (Mulberry, AR) in a 1A Region 1 West challenge, on Thursday, January 4. The New School will attempt to improve on its 15-3 season record. The Yellowjackets come into the challenge with a 11-11 record after their 55-36 non-league loss to Scranton (Scranton, AR).
