The Western Branch Bruins basketball team (Chesapeake, VA), was nudged 81-80 in Friday's non-league battle with the host West Potomac Wolverines (Alexandria, VA)

The Wolverines now possess a 8-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Woodson for a District 4 battle on Tuesday, January 2. West Potomac will battle a Cavaliers team coming off a 58-32 non-league win over William Allen (Allentown, PA). The Cavaliers record now stands at 6-3.
