December 29, 2023: Bells, TX 75414 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Bells Panthers (Bells, TX) and the visiting Tom Bean Tomcats (Tom Bean, TX), saw Bells's basketball squad wallop Tom Bean by a count of 59-32.
With the victory, Bells upgrades its record to 15-5 on the campaign. The Panthers host Howe (Howe, TX) to play the Bulldogs in a 3A Region II District 11 challenge on Tuesday, January 2. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a record of 12-7. Howe lost 43-41 in their recent non-league challenge against Tioga (Tioga, TX)
The Tomcats now own a 3-11 record. They play next when they host Sam Rayburn for a 2A Region II District 14 test on Tuesday, January 2. Tom Bean will encounter a Rebels squad coming off a 54-46 league win over Celeste (Celeste, TX). The Rebels record now stands at 10-8.
