December 29, 2023: Charleston, IL 61920 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the St. Anthony Bulldogs (Effingham, IL) and the host Charleston Trojans (Charleston, IL), saw St. Anthony's basketball squad wallop Charleston by a tally of 67-36.
With the victory, St. Anthony improves its record to 11-6 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Shelbyville (Shelbyville, IL) to confront the Rams in a non-league challenge on Thursday, January 4. The Rams come into the challenge with a record of 4-11. Shelbyville lost 71-59 in their recent non-league challenge against Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg (Windsor, IL)
Next up, the Trojans confront the Mattoon Greenwave (Mattoon, IL) in a Apollo challenge, on Saturday, January 6. Charleston will attempt to improve on its 3-11 season record. The Greenwave come into the challenge with a 13-2 record after their 59-34 non-league loss to Effingham (Effingham, IL).
