Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Cranston West Falcons (Cranston, RI) and the visiting Cranston East Thunderbolts (Cranston, RI), saw Cranston West's basketball squad wallop Cranston East by a count of 71-49.

With the victory, Cranston West upgrades its record to 4-4 on the campaign. The Falcons host Scituate (North Scituate, RI) to meet the Spartans in a Division 1 match on Wednesday, January 3. The Spartans enter the match with a record of 2-2.

With the defeat, Cranston East moves to 1-5 on the year. The Thunderbolts travel to West Warwick (West Warwick, RI) to meet the Wizards in a Division 2 match on Wednesday, January 3.
