December 29, 2023: Des Arc, AR 72040 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Des Arc Eagles (Des Arc, AR) and the visiting Cross County Thunderbirds (Cherry Valley, AR), saw Des Arc's basketball squad overcome Cross County by a tally of 43-35.
With the victory, Des Arc improves its record to 7-7 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Palestine-Wheatley (Palestine, AR) to play the Patriots in a 2A Region 6 challenge on Friday, January 5. The Patriots come into the challenge with a record of 4-9.
Next up, the Thunderbirds play the White County Central Bears (Judsonia, AR) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, January 4. Cross County will attempt to improve on its 5-11 season record. The Bears come into the challenge with a 1-18 record after their 66-25 non-league loss to Brookland (Brookland, AR).
