Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Gilbert Tigers (Gilbert, AZ) and the visiting Desert Edge Scorpions (Goodyear, AZ), saw Gilbert's basketball squad wallop Desert Edge by a tally of 77-24.

With the victory, Gilbert improves its record to 13-1 on the campaign. The Tigers host Catalina Foothills (Tucson, AZ) to confront the Falcons in a non-league challenge on Friday, December 29. The Falcons come into the challenge with a record of 5-7. Catalina Foothills won 49-40 in their recent non-league challenge against Holbrook (Holbrook, AZ)

Next up, the Scorpions confront the Mica Mountain Thunderbolts (Tucson, AZ) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 29. Desert Edge will attempt to improve on its 8-8 season record. The Thunderbolts come into the challenge with a 7-5 record after their 52-45 non-league loss to Blue Ridge (Lakeside, AZ).
