December 29, 2023: Houston, TX 77089 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Morton Ranch Mavericks (Katy, TX) and the host Dobie Longhorns (Houston, TX), saw Morton Ranch's basketball squad wallop Dobie by a tally of 60-37.
With the victory, Morton Ranch improves its record to 6-15 on the campaign. The Mavericks travel to Mayde Creek (Houston, TX) to play the Rams in a 6A Region III District 19 challenge on Tuesday, January 2. The Rams come into the challenge with a record of 2-22. Mayde Creek lost 49-30 in their recent non-league challenge against Lovejoy (Lucas, TX)
Next up, the Longhorns play the Channelview Falcons (Channelview, TX) in a 6A Region III District 22 challenge, on Wednesday, January 3. Dobie will attempt to improve on its 7-14 season record. The Falcons come into the challenge with a 1-10 record after their 49-25 non-league loss to Wheatley (Houston, TX).
