The Panthers now possess a 17-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Leon for a non-league battle on Tuesday, January 2. Normangee will confront a Cougars team coming off a 31-20 non-league win over Moody (Moody, TX). The Cougars record now stands at 18-2.
The Elks (9-10) will now prepare for their battle against Mexia (Mexia, TX). The Black Cats come into the 3A Region III District 20 battle with a 7-9 record. In their last battle, Mexia was nudged by Connally (Waco, TX), 59-36, in a non-league battle.
