December 29, 2023: Ellington, CT 06029 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Enfield Eagles (Enfield, CT) and the host Ellington Knights (Ellington, CT), saw Enfield's basketball squad hold off Ellington by a count of 43-40.
With the victory, Enfield upgrades its record to 4-2 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Edwin O. Smith (Storrs, CT) to play the Panthers in a Central Connecticut - East Patriot challenge on Tuesday, January 2. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 4-2. Edwin O. Smith lost 71-53 in their recent non-league challenge against Sacred Heart Academy (Hamden, CT)
Next up, the Knights play the Somers Spartans (Somers, CT) in a North Central Connecticut challenge, on Wednesday, January 3. Ellington will attempt to upgrade on its 4-3 season record. The Spartans come into the challenge with a 4-1 record after their 52-27 league win over Rockville (Vernon, CT).
