The Scott Central Rebels basketball team scored 34 points and held the visiting Ethel Tigers to 27 in the Rebels non-league triumph on Friday.

The Rebels now sport a 9-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Newton for a 2A Region 5 contest on Tuesday, January 2. Scott Central will meet a Tigers team coming off a 44-33 non-league win over Forest (Forest, MS). The Tigers record now stands at 13-2.

The Tigers (5-6) will now prepare for their contest against Coffeeville (Coffeeville, MS). The Pirates enter the non-league contest with a 7-5 record. In their last contest, Coffeeville was nudged by Charleston (Charleston, MS), 36-20, in a non-league contest.
