Maine High School Basketball - Lake Region overwhelms Fryeburg
December 29, 2023: Fryeburg, ME 04037 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Lake Region Lakers (Naples, ME) and the host Fryeburg Raiders (Fryeburg, ME), saw Lake Region's basketball squad wallop Fryeburg by a tally of 50-29.
With the victory, Lake Region improves its record to 4-2 on the campaign. The Lakers travel to Yarmouth (Yarmouth, ME) to play the Clippers in a B South challenge on Tuesday, January 2. The Clippers come into the challenge with a record of 4-3. Yarmouth won 42-37 in their recent league challenge against Medomak Valley (Waldoboro, ME)
Next up, the Raiders play the Brunswick Dragons (Brunswick, ME) in a A South challenge, on Saturday, December 30. Fryeburg will attempt to improve on its 3-2 season record. The Dragons come into the challenge with a 5-1 record after their 63-31 league win over Westbrook (Westbrook, ME).
