Hammond Morton Governors (Hammond, IN) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Thornwood Thunderbirds (South Holland, IL), 74-25 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Hammond Morton upgrades its record to 10-7 on the season. The Governors travel to Hobart (Hobart, IN) to clash with the Brickies in a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 3. The Brickies go into the bout with a record of 6-9. Hobart lost 64-45 in their recent non-league bout against South Bend Adams (South Bend, IN)

Next up, the Thunderbirds clash with the Thornridge Falcons (Dolton, IL) in a Southland bout, on Monday, January 8. Thornwood will attempt to upgrade on its 4-15 season record. The Falcons go into the bout with a 3-11 record after their 78-28 league loss to Bloom (Chicago Heights, IL).
