The Sunrise Mountain Miners basketball team (Las Vegas, NV), was overwhelmed 52-30 in Friday's non-league battle with the host Helix Highlanders (La Mesa, CA)

The Highlanders now possess a 8-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Central for a non-league battle on Saturday, December 30. Helix will confront a Spartans team coming off a 59-44 non-league win over Escondido Charter (Escondido, CA). The Spartans record now stands at 5-7.

The Miners (8-4) will now prepare for their battle against Argyle (Argyle, TX). The Eagles come into the non-league battle with a 20-3 record. In their last battle, Argyle trounced Bonita Vista (Chula Vista, CA), 47-45, in a non-league battle.
