The Summit Charter Collegiate Academy Bears basketball team scored 40 points and held the host Highland Scots to 14 in the Bears non-league triumph on Friday.

The Bears now sport a 7-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Lindsay for a non-league contest on Wednesday, January 3. Summit Charter Collegiate Academy will battle a Cardinals team coming off a 30-20 non-league win over Chavez (Delano, CA). The Cardinals record now stands at 8-5.

The Scots (3-8) will now prepare for their contest against Centennial (Bakersfield, CA). The Golden Hawks enter the South Yosemite - River contest with a 10-4 record. In their last contest, Centennial was routed by Tehachapi (Tehachapi, CA), 54-31, in a non-league contest.
