Northern Guilford Nighthawks (Greensboro, NC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Hoggard Vikings (Wilmington, NC), 32-27 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Northern Guilford upgrades its record to 10-1 on the season. The Nighthawks host Topsail (Hampstead, NC) to play the Pirates in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 30. The Pirates go into the bout with a record of 7-4. Topsail won 54-30 in their recent non-league bout against East Bladen (Elizabethtown, NC)

Next up, the Vikings play the Lucy Beckham Bengals (Mt. Pleasant, SC) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 30. Hoggard will attempt to upgrade on its 10-1 season record. The Bengals go into the bout with a 6-6 record after their 60-32 non-league loss to Myers Park (Charlotte, NC).
